In an endeavour to embrace sustainability, every manufacturing facility within the Melwa Conglomerate is equipped with autonomous solar photovoltaic systems. This ensures that 70% of our factories operate on renewable energy, significantly reducing our overall carbon footprint.

Committed to environmental responsibility, Melwa has pledged to transition to 100% green energy by 2030, aiming to achieve complete carbon neutrality.



• Commitment Towards Renewable Energy Sources
We have installed rooftop solar photovoltaic systems to power all our manufacturing facilities, aligning with the Government of Sri Lanka's renewable energy objectives. This recycling initiative produces over 18 million kWh of electricity each year for the national grid, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and promoting a greener future.

We've set up advanced water treatment plants in our factories, using top-notch engineering and innovation. These plants help us save water and make the most of our water resources.
